BankCheck - verify bank sort codes and account numbers using hosted web services.

Getting the sort code and account number right first time is crucial to the smooth running of your direct debit management. When accepting paperless direct debit instructions it is mandatory that you perform a ISCD lookup and modulus check at the time of accepting the instruction. BankCheck does just that for you, it ensures your sort code and account number are checked and accurate from the start.

BankCheck can be supplied in three ways. A windows application means you can run it directly on your PCs. The payment model of "pay per click" means you can install BankCheck on as many PCs as you wish but you only pay for your usage. (The software is free to download on as many PCs as you wish) You can access it directly from our web site. Simply log on using your customer username and password to access the service from any web browser. Lastly for the technically minded BankCheck can be provided as an API (Application Programmers Interface).

As well as being useful for credits, BankCheck is a vital tool when setting up new direct debits. In particular, when setting up paperless direct debits, it is a requirement of BACS that sort code and account numbers are validated at the point of data entry.

The API means Bankcheck can be designed into your web site or any application you develop. The interface is industry standard SOAP and can be seen here.
